Superhero Party

Alden wanted a superhero party. We had so much fun celebrating!

Alden made the superhero we used on the sign to welcome our guests.

Spiderman left a birthday message on our tablecloth!

Rhianwen, his sister, helped design and make the decorations. I loved this personal touch to what can seem like a box party.

A "super-turkey". We put a roll of the Manhattan skyline around our walls, and taped up superheros saying various things to Alden.

My favorite quote, but mildly inappropriate I suppose.

Bucket of gifts. The bucket was later used to hold drinks and ice.

Rhianwen's birthday card to him.

I printed out art to label all of the superhero food we were having. The Bugles were Lizard claws.

Alden had to have PB&Honey to make him satisfied. So these were Super Sandwiches (unless Peanut Butter is like kryptonite to you).

Hulk Hoagies.

Power Punch.

Design your own superhero (click here for the site).

Superheros track treasure (click here for the entire hunt).

They ate the Lizard.

Everyone got to pose as Superman.

Fintorp, yeah.

We have a better organized art center thanks to Ikea and Wally. We got the idea from this website: click here.

Making the tabletop.

The frame.

Molding around the frame to make it look finished and stained the tabletop.

Caulked around the wall and repainted to look finished there too.Wally didn't put the Fintorp system up in the typical/normal way b/c he felt like it would look better like this instead of with 3 separate rods in a row.

I love it! We don't have chairs around it yet b/c little boy is such a climber. So my kids like it too, but Rhianwen has to get all of the materials for Alden since I haven't put the chairs around it yet. We'll also probably be doing our handwriting and drawing for school here too.

Owl birthday for Corwin

We decorated with felt owls from Michael's and stars. Rhi helped me find it all.

Stars on the ceiling, owls hanging from the light, and the little owl I made for Corwin before he was born.

I hope to make a mobile out of these.

He just came out of his egg.

The owl for pin the beak on the owl. Corwin loved this game and tearing off the feathers.

The cupcakes...taking apart the oreos was harder than I thought it'd be.

An owl that Rhianwen made for decorating for Corwin's birthday.
